9 Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the slot
on the back of the scanner. The slot is located
above the ADF port between the top cover and
the base. Pry the top cover up with a
screwdriver.

After unlatching the top cover, you are ready to remove it.

10 Carefully lift the top cover off the base. Turn the top cover upside down and set it on
a clean surface
