Disconnect the USB and power supply, then wait 15 minutes for the scanner to cool.
Open the scanner lid and lift it straight up to remove it from the base.
Remove four screws from the bottom of the scanner using a Phillips screwdriver.
Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry and lift the top cover off the scanner.
Clean the outside of the scanner before disassembly using glass cleaner.
Clean the underside of the scanner glass with a soft, lint-free cloth and glass cleaner.
Lower and snap the top cover back onto the scanner base.
Secure the top cover with screws and re-insert the scanner lid.
Reconnect the USB cable and power supply to the scanner.
