From BIOS setup
Short and Long tests
On notebooks that support the DST,
press F10
during the boot process
to access the BIOS setup. Locate
and launch IDE DPS Self-Test or
HDD Self-Test utilizing the menu
structure. If the short test does not
detect a failure, the long test may
initiate automatically. Then the long
test can be aborted by clicking
"esc".
