26 The Printer will now test Feed Roller 2 moving in an open loop in one
direction and the following message will be displayed on the Front Panel.
Press any key to continue the test:
Check that the movement done is more than 100 encoder units (in absolute
value), if it is press any key to continue. If the movement done is less than
100 encoder units then open the Roll 2 Drawer and check for any visible
obstacles restricting the movement. In this case, press any key to finish the
test.
27 The Printer will now test the Feed Roller 2 moving in an open loop in the
opposite direction and the following message will be displayed on the Front
Panel. Press any key to continue the test:
Check that the movement done is more than 100 encoder units (in absolute
value), if it is press any key to continue. If the movement done is less than
100 encoder units then open the Roll 2 Drawer and check for any visible
obstacles restricting the movement of Feed Roller 2.
If the Encoder Units is less than 100, the front panel will display a warning
message, press any key to continue. The Printer will request that you follow
these instructions:
a Manually load a roll of paper in to Roll 2 Module.
b The Printer will test the Roll Module moving in an open loop.
c Perform a visual check during the test. The Front Panel will ask you if
the paper moved or not:
– If the paper moved, the Front Panel will display System Error
Code 41.2:10. For more information on troubleshooting this error
code, refer to Page 2-14. Check also System Error Code
01.4:10. For more information on troubleshooting this error code,
refer to Page 2-14.
– If the paper did not move open Roll 2 Module and check to see if
the motor moved.
– If the motor moved the printer warns ’There was high friction
warning’.
– If the motor did not move, the Front Panel will display System
Error Code 41.2:10. For more information on troubleshooting this
