How do I? Steps to perform
Cancel a print job from the product control
panel
Press the Cancel Job (X) button on the control panel.
NOTE: If the print job has proceeded too far, you might not
have the option to cancel it.

Cancel a print job from the software
program
A dialog box might appear briefly on the screen, giving you the
option to cancel the print job.
If several requests have been sent to the product through
your software, they might be waiting in a print queue (for
example, in Windows Print Manager). See the software
documentation for specific instructions about canceling a
print request from the computer.
If a print job is waiting in a print queue (computer memory)
or print spooler (Windows 2000, XP, or Vista), delete the
print job there.
Cancel a print job from the Windows print
queue
For Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Vista, click
Start and then click Printers and Faxes; or click Start, click
Control Panel, and then click Printers and Faxes. Double-
click the printer icon to open the print spooler. Select the
print job that you want to cancel, and then press Cancel or
Delete under the Document menu. If the print job is not
canceled, you might need to shut down and restart the
computer.

Cancel from Control Panel

Press the Cancel Job (X) button on the control panel. Note: Cancellation may not be possible if the job has proceeded too far.

Open the Printer Driver

Printing Shortcuts

Use a Printing Shortcut

Open the printer driver, select the Printing Shortcuts tab, choose a shortcut, and click OK to print with predefined settings.

Create a Custom Printing Shortcut

Select an existing shortcut, adjust print options, click Save As, enter a name, and click OK.

Duplex Printing

Enable Duplex Printing

Open the printer driver, go to the Finishing tab, click 'Print on both sides', and then click OK.

Adjust Page Binding Edge

If binding along the top edge, select 'Flip pages up' in the Finishing tab before printing.

N-Up Printing

Configure N-Up Printing

In the Finishing tab, select the number of pages per sheet, choose border and orientation options, then click OK.

Set Page Borders and Orientation

Specify print page borders, page order (e.g., Right, then Down), and orientation (Portrait or Landscape).

Set Portrait or Landscape

In the Finishing tab, select 'Portrait' or 'Landscape' orientation for the document.

Rotate Page Image 180 Degrees

To print the page image upside down, select 'Rotated by 180 degrees' in the Orientation area.

Booklet Creation

Configure Booklet Printing

In the Finishing tab, enable 'Print on both sides', select 'Left binding' or 'Right binding', and confirm pages per sheet is 2.

Finalize and Print Booklet

Click OK to apply booklet settings and then print the document.

Page Size Management

Select Standard Page Sizes

Access the Paper/Quality tab in the driver and choose a standard paper size from the list.

Define Custom Page Sizes

Click 'Custom' to open a dialog where you can name and specify dimensions for non-standard paper sizes.

Special Paper Handling

Load Letterhead/Preprinted Paper

Load paper face-up with the top towards the product in tray 1, or in trays 3 or 4, ensuring guides are snug.

Enable Alternative Letterhead Mode

In the driver's Advanced tab > Document Options > Printer Features, set 'Alternative Letterhead Mode' to 'On'.

Printing on Special Media

Prepare Special Media

Load media face-up in tray 1 or in trays 3/4, ensuring it is flat and guides are adjusted.

Configure Special Page Settings

In the Paper/Quality tab, select 'Covers' or 'Print pages on different paper' and click Settings.

Specify Special Page Options

Choose to print front/back covers or first/last pages on different paper, then select paper source/type and click Add.
