Battery directive
This product contains a battery that is used to maintain data integrity of real-time clock or product
settings and is designed to last the life of the product. Any attempt to service or replace this battery
should be performed by a qualified service technician.
Lithium battery
This HP product contains a lithium battery located on an internal motherboard that may require special
handling at the end of its life.
Chemical substances
HP is committed to providing our customers with information about the chemical substances in our products

Isopropyl alcohol
Do not use isopropyl alcohol in California or other areas that restrict the volatile organic compound (VOC)
content of cleaning solvents. In place of isopropyl alcohol, a regulatory compliant alternate should be used.
Ethanol alcohol
If you find dried ink that you cannot remove with a dry cloth, try dampening the cloth with Ethanol 95º. After
cleaning, wait for the cover to dry.
NOTE: Do not use Ethanol 95º in California or other areas that restrict the volatile organic compound (VOC)
content of cleaning solvents. A regulatory compliant alternate should be used.
Cleaning and maintenance procedures when using solvents
Solvents are regulated in certain jurisdictions; so, when used, please look for the Product stewardship lead/
Regs focal point. The basic guideline is that regulated solvents can be used only to clean dried ink.
