9. Keyboard Printed-Circuit Assembly
Removal
a. Perform removal/replacement
procedures 1, 3, 5, 6, and 7.
b. Apply light upward pressure to top
case as shown.
c. Press inward on red display window
to separate from top case.
d. Remove the two keyboard support
screws.
Note: Be careful not to bend the
connector and plastic guide pins
that are located on the bottom.
e. Lightly press outward on the
keyboard and remove.
CAUTION
Do not put any sharp bends in the
display cable as it may fracture and
break.
10. Spacers, Spring Strips and Slide
Switch Replacement
a. Perform removal/replacement
procedures 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, and 9.
b. Remove the seven Phillips retaining
SCrews.
c. Carefully lift off circuit board.
