2. Remove four screws (callout 1), and then remove the laser scanner cover (callout 2) and the
sheet-metal plate (callout 3) together.
CAUTION: The laser scanner cover (callout 2) and sheet-metal plate (callout 3) can be easily
separated. Do not lose the plate while servicing the product.
TIP: When the cover is reinstalled, make sure that the black screws (callout 4) are installed in
the correct holes.
