USB/audio board (includes cable) 537614-001
Before removing the USB/audio board, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and
then unplugging the AC Adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the battery (see
Battery on page 36).
5. If your device has WWAN capability, remove the SIM (see
SIM on page 37.
6. Remove the following components:
a. Keyboard (see
Keyboard on page 40).
b. Hard drive or solid-state drive (see
Mass storage devices on page 45).
c. Top cover (see
Top cover on page 48).
Remove the USB board:
1. Release the ZIF connector (1) to which the USB/audio board cable is connected, and disconnect
the cable (2).
2. Release the USB/audio board from the clip attached to the base enclosure (3), and remove the
USB/audio board (4).
Reverse this procedure to install the USB/audio board.
