  If your HP Digital Camera does not respond when you press a button, first ensure that the camera is turned on or turn it off and then on again. If the camera is connected to a computer, the buttons (except for the OFF/Mode selector) will not respond. Also, check if the batteries are drained and replace or recharge them if necessary. If the camera has stopped operating, try removing and reinserting the batteries, replacing them if needed.

  If your HP Digital Camera is showing the wrong date and/or time, it's likely because the batteries died or were removed for more than 10 minutes. To correct this, reset the date and time using the Date & Time option in the Setup menu.

  If your HP Digital Camera batteries won't charge, ensure you've installed NiMH batteries, as lithium and alkaline batteries cannot be recharged. Charging won't start if the batteries were recently charged, so try again after they've been used for a while. If the battery voltage is too low, the camera won't attempt to charge them to prevent damage; try charging them in a dedicated battery charger first, and if that doesn't work, replace them. Also, the camera only charges when it is off or asleep and connected to an AC power source. To initiate charging immediately, turn off the camera; otherwise, it will start charging when it turns itself off after 6 minutes of inactivity.
