Remove the mass storage device cover (3). The mass storage device cover is included in the
Plastics Kit, spare part numbers 613343-001 (for use only on computer models equipped with a
14.0-in display assembly) and 613344-001 (for use only on computer models equipped with a
15.6-in display assembly).
5. Loosen the Phillips PM2.5×13.0 captive screw (1) that secures the mass storage device in the
mass storage device bay.
6. Grasp the Mylar tab (2) on the mass storage device bracket, and slide the mass storage device
(3) to the right to disconnect it from the system board.
7. Remove the mass storage device (4) from the mass storage device bay.
