4. Turn the computer display-side up, with the front toward you.
5. Open the computer as far as possible.
6. If the computer is equipped with a fingerprint reader, release the ZIF connector to which the fingerprint reader
board cable 1 is attached, and then disconnect the fingerprint reader board cable 2 from the system board.
7. Lift the front edge of the palm rest 3 until it rests at an angle, and then slide the palm rest forward 4 until it
detaches from the computer.
8. If the computer is equipped with a fingerprint reader, remove the fingerprint reader board cable from the
opening 5 in the top cover.
9. Remove the palm rest.
Reverse this procedure to install the palm rest.
