Removal and replacement procedures 47
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
FBDIMMs
To remove the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 26).
2. Extend or remove the server from the rack ("Extend the server from the rack" on page 26, "Remove
the server from the rack" on page 27).
3. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 27).
4. Remove the FBDIMM.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
Heatsink
To remove the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 26).
2. Extend the server from the rack (on page 26).
3. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 27).
4. Remove the power supply air baffle, if necessary ("Power supply air baffle" on page 36).
5. Remove the processor air baffle ("Processor air baffle" on page 36).
