System air baffle and PCI card guide 
To remove the component: 
 
 
WARNING:  To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces, allow the drives and the 
internal system components to cool before touching them. 
 
 
 
CAUTION:  Do not operate the server for long periods with the access panel open or removed. 
Operating the server in this manner results in improper airflow and improper cooling that can 
lead to thermal damage. 
 
1.  Power down the server (on page 26). 
2.  Unlock the bezel (on page 27). 
3.  Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 28). 
4.  Remove any full-length expansion boards installed in slot 1, 3, or 5, if installed ("Expansion boards" 
on page 50). 
5.  Disconnect the PCI fan cable, if installed ("System board components" on page 68). 
6.  Remove the system air baffle and PCI card guide. 
 
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure. 
 
PCI fan 
To remove the component: 
1.  Power down the server (on page 26). 
2.  Unlock the bezel (on page 27). 
3.  Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 28). 
4.  Disconnect the PCI fan cable from the system board ("System board components" on page 68). 
5.  Remove the system air baffle and PCI card guide ("System air baffle and PCI card guide" on page 
39).
