Installing a Redundant Fan
To install a redundant fan:
1. Power down the server ("Powering Down the Server" on page 21
).
2. Extend the server from the rack, if applicable ("Extending the Server from
the Rack" on page 22
).
3. Remove the front bezel door, if necessary ("Removing Front Tower Bezel"
on page 23
).
4. Remove the access panel ("Removing Access Panel" on page 23
).
5. Install the redundant fan assembly and tighten the thumbscrew. Connect the
redundant fan cable to the fan header on the system board.
6. Replace the front bezel ("Removing Front Tower Bezel" on page 23
), if
applicable.
7. Replace the access panel ("Removing Access Panel" on page 23
).
