To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
Rack rails
NOTE: This procedure applies to rack servers only.
To remove the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 29).
2. Remove the server from the rack (on page 30).
3. Pull the rack rail latch.
4. Slide the rail to the front of the server to release the rail.
5. Remove the rail.
6. Repeat the steps to remove the other rail.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
Power supply blank
CAUTION: Do not attempt to remove and replace a power supply as a hot-plug procedure unless
both bays are populated with power supplies.
