Clean the scan rollers before scanning
To optimize paper feeding performance and minimize paper jams, HP recommends that you clean
the scan rollers before using the scanner for the first time.
To clean the rollers, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the scanner is turned off, and then disconnect the power cable.
2. Open the document feeder hatch.
3. On the rear of the open document feeder hatch, raise the feed roller covers to expose the upper
feed rollers.
