and do not overlap. See the HP Scanjet N6350 User Guide for details.
To scan negatives, remove the light shield from the negative
strip holder. Slide a negative strip into the holder so the
shiny side of the negative faces you. If the negative strip has
less than three frames, insert the negative light-shield into
the negative strip holder. The edge of the light-shield should
touch the last frame. Re-insert the negative strip holder in the
slide holder and close the scanner lid.
Replace the negative strip holder with the light shield fully
inserted when not using the adapter.
The HP Scanjet N6350 scanner automatically optimizes
scan settings for Ektachrome and Kodachrome—two of the
most common types of slide media—for clear, brilliant
results. If you are scanning Kodachrome slides, selecting the
Optimize for Kodachrome check box in the HP scanning software will yield even better results. Clear the check
box when scanning other slide types, such as Ektachrome.
TIP When scanning a 35 mm slide or negative, the scanner software automatically enlarges the image to
approximately 6.7 by 10 cm (2.64 by 4 inches). If you want the final image to be larger or smaller,
use the Resize tool in the scanning software to set the scaling to a different size. The scanner will scan
the item to the size that you select and adjust the scan resolution as appropriate. See the onscreen
Help for details.
