VERSATILE document capture
The new HP Scanjet N6350 Networked Document Flatbed Scanner offers versatile document capture options
with a flatbed scan surface, an ADF that scans two-sided documents, and a built-in transparent media adapter.
Scan a range of office documents, including important legal papers, bound materials, business cards, photos,
transparent materials, and more. You can also scan multiple items at once and save the images as separate
files.
Scan up to legal-size documents
The HP Scanjet N6350 scanner scans professional-quality documents. You
can scan from either the 50-page ADF or flatbed scan surface in landscape
orientation. Use the ADF to digitize many types of original office documents,
including financial forms, legal forms up to 8.5 by 14 inch, and office notes.
Experience versatile flatbed scanning
The flatbed scan surface allows you to scan excerpts from thick, bound materials, thin paper, and irregular,
worn, or stapled documents that cannot be sent through the ADF.
Business cards
The flat scanning surface is useful for scanning business cards from professional contacts. The included Presto!
BizCard software automatically captures text from scanned cards and stores it in an easy-to-use digital
database, so you can manage all of your business contacts in one place. (See “Robust Software Suite” on page
10.)
Photos
The HP Scanjet N6350 scans photos with up to 2400 dpi, 48-bit color for impressive scans of black-and-white
or color photos. The included HP Photosmart Essential software makes it easy to edit scanned images and
produce high-quality photo prints. (See “Robust Software Suite” on page 10.) Scan shortcuts let you quickly
save scanned images in JPEG, TIFF, or other graphics file formats, and send scanned images to email.
Note Users need to upload default or custom scan shortcuts included with the HP scanning software to the
HP Scanjet N6350 scanner prior to scanning (when using the HP scanning software). If you are using
non-HP scanning software, you will need to associate the scanner’s quick start buttons with an
application. (See “Quick, easy scanning” on page 7.)
You can start a scan using the Scan button on the scanner control panel, or from the HP scanning software. The
one-touch Scan button saves time by allowing you to complete common scanning tasks with the press of a
button. If you want to preview and edit the scan before sending it to your computer, start the scan from the
HP scanning software. See the HP Scanjet N6350 Getting Started Guide for details.
Built-in transparent media adapter
An integrated transparent media adapter in the scanner lid allows you to
easily transform traditional slides and negatives into digital files. The built-in
adapter saves time by allowing you to scan two 35 mm slides, or three film
negative frames at once.
To use the adapter, open the scanner lid and remove the negative strip
holder from the slide holder. If you are scanning slides, place the slides into
the slide holder. Insert the slides with the top of the slides pointing up and
with the front of the slides facing you, making sure that the slides are flat
