TOP FEATURES 9
Scan shortcut settings let you specify the scan type (document, picture, negative, or slide), output type (color,
grayscale, or black and white), scan destination (e.g., save to file, email addresses, Presto! BizCard,
Microsoft® Word, or HP Photosmart Essential), and file type (TIFF, JPEG, PDF, PDF-Searchable, etc.). You can
also save selected settings as a shortcut.
It’s easy to create shortcuts for your most frequent scanning tasks, such as: saving a scan, scanning a document
to a PDF or TIFF file, scanning a document to email, scanning and sending a document to an existing default
printer, scanning a photo, slide, or negative to a JPEG file, and more. After you have saved your shortcuts to the
scanner, you can access them from the shortcut menu on the scanner control panel or the HP scanning software.
Modify your scanned documents
HP scanning technology has the capability to deskew (straighten), rotate, and crop scanned documents and
images (when the feature is enabled). This convenient feature makes it easy and intuitive to modify and enhance
digital documents.
Improve and enhance your color images
HP scanning technology offers channel color drop-out, which allows you to remove colors from scanned
documents or images by filtering out a color channel (red, green, or blue). Removing colors from scans can
improve the accuracy of optical character recognition (OCR) results, enhances readability, and reduces the size
of scanned files.
Convert scanned documents to text
The HP Scanjet N6350 software recognizes and converts text into a format that can be opened in a word
processing application. This feature makes it easy to create editable word processing files from scanned
hard-copy documents.
