3 Attach the SAS adapter supplied with the HP workstation SAS hard drive to the data connector on the rear of the SAS
hard drive.
4 In preparation for cable connection, identify the 8-port controller card connectors. The LED cable connector (1), the
internal data connector (2), and the external data connector (3) are shown in the following figure.
5 Attach one end of the appropriate data cable supplied with the controller card kit to internal connector 1 on the 8-port
SAS RAID controller card (1). Attach the four splitter cables on the other end of the data cable to the data cable
connectors on the hard drives (2). Your workstation may look different than the one shown.
