Scenario 1 Installing a controller enclosure and a disk enclosure
Install a disk enclosure onto the guide rails using the same method as installing the controller enclosure.
After the controller enclosure is installed, pull out the information plate from the controller enclosure, as
instructed in step 4 in the preceding figure. On the left part of the information plate, you can record the
device's management IP address. On the right of the information plate, you can use your cellphone to
scan the QR code to obtain more information.
2e Installing storage devices into the cabinet
To avoid device damage, do not stack any components but install them onto guide rails.
If you remove controllers and disks for easily moving and installing enclosures, record the slots of these
controllers and disks in advance. This helps you insert controllers and disks back to their correct slots later. If a
controller is inserted into a different location, a system power-on failure may occur.
NOTICE
(1) Install the inner rail.
1. Install the inner rail onto the system enclosure.
2. Use two M4 screws to secure the inner rail.
(2) Remove the two M3 screws from the upper panel.
