Remove the pen cap straight off and prepare the needle.
Pull off the paper tab from the outer needle shield.
Push the capped needle onto the pen and turn until tight.
Pull off the outer needle shield, then the inner needle shield.
Turn the dose knob to select 2 units for priming.
Hold pen upright and tap cartridge holder to collect air bubbles.
Push dose knob to dispense 2 units and count to 5.
Turn dose knob to select required units; dose indicator must align.
Select injection site (stomach, buttocks, legs, arms) and wipe with alcohol.
Insert the needle into your skin at the chosen injection site.
Push dose knob in until it stops and count slowly to 5.
Pull needle out of skin; check dose window shows '0'.
Carefully replace the outer needle shield after injection.
Unscrew the capped needle and throw it away safely.
Replace the pen cap by lining up the clip and pushing straight on.
