Permissible weights and load distribution
Fig. 7 Load definition
S Drawbar load
A1 Axle load - 1st axle
A2 Axle load - 2nd axle
Stow away the load so that the load
centre of the entire load lies over the
longitudinal centre line of the trailer as far
as possible.
Keep this load centre as low as possible.
Load your vehicle within the permissible
total weight, the permissible axle loads
and the permissible drawbar load.
Try for a uniform weight distribution even
when there is only a part load, so that
every axle is loaded proportionately and
that there is sufficient drawbar load.
The maximum payload of the trailer can
only be reached if the overall load centre
of the load is within the permissible
range.
Restrict the load at particular points of
the loading platform by distributing the
load appropriately to the permissible
extent.
