Control
Power Light (Some Models): The light will be
illuminated when the power is on.
Fan Power/Speed Control: Turns the humidier
‘ON’ and ‘OFF’. The power should always be o
before unplugging the humidier, moving the
humidier, or relling the water tank.
NiteGlo™ Night Light Control (Some Models):
Turns the night light ‘ON’ and ‘OFF’. The night
light can be turned on even if the humidier fan
is turned o.
Humidier Features
Using Your Humidier
1. Remove The Care Free
®
Humidier Plus Evapo-
rative Humidier from its packaging. Read
and Save the Instructions.
2. Place the humidier on a hard, at, water
resistant surface. Always place the humidier
at least six (6) inches away from walls and
sources of heat.
3. Lift the main housing to conrm that the
PermaWick™ lters are placed upright in the
slots. Replace the main housing. (See Figure
1.)
4. Remove the water tank and take it to the sink
or tub to ll.
5. Turn the tank upside down and unscrew the
tank cap by turning it counterclockwise. Fill
the water tank with cool water and replace
the tank cap (Never use hot water). Be sure
not to overll the tank as water damage may
occur to furniture or ooring due to spill-
age.

6. Carry the tank back to the humidier. Turn
the tank upright and place it on the humidi-
er. Be sure that the tank is seated properly
in the base. If the tank is properly located on
the base, you will see air bubbles owing up
into the tank.
7. With the power control knob in the ‘OFF’ posi-
tion, plug the humidier into the wall.
CAUTION: Never plug in the Humidier while
your hands are wet as Electric Shock could
occur.
Place the full tank on the unit and allow the
water to ll the bottom tray. The water is at
the proper level in the bottom tray when the
tanks stops bubbling. Run the unit on “HI”
speed for 1
1
⁄2 minutes for optimum pump
operation. Set the unit to the desired speed.
8. Use the power control knob to turn the hu-
midier ‘ON’ by selecting a speed setting.
Only for models with a NiteGlo™ night light
9. Use the control to turn the night light o and
on. The night light can be operated even if the
humidier fan is turned ‘OFF’.
