 Check battery water level
 Oil level, tight Vp-belts
 Check for loose electrical connections in engine compartment
 Secure tools or any loose equipment in engine compartment so as
not to get fouled in engine
 AC systems off; electrical cord stowed
 Doors and drawers secured
 Check steering lock to lock
 Check mast for rigging irregularities and tightness
 Halyards and sheets are clear and ready to run
 No lines or other obstructions near propeller or bow
 Anchor ready to run
 Check lifelines for tightness
 Turn on fuel and waterlines
 Stow all loose gear
 Open engine cooling water intake thru-hull valve
