Why is the starter rope hard to pull on my Husqvarna Lawn Mower?

  If the starter rope on your Husqvarna Lawn Mower is hard to pull, it could be due to a few reasons. The engine flywheel brake might be engaged when the control bar is released; make sure to depress the control bar to the upper handle before pulling the starter rope. Another cause could be the blade dragging in grass. Try moving the lawn mower to cut grass or other hard surface before starting. Alternatively, the blade adapter might be broken, requiring replacement.
