Wheels and drive system
Dismantle the parts in the right front wheel
suspension.
Remove the barrel nut (B) and disconnect
the other parts for cleaning and possible
replacement.
Note how the spring (C) for the height
setting is fi tted.
Assembly
Place the cover over the front axle and
push both parts in simultaneously against
the cutting cover.
Assemble the different components in the
reverse order as set out for dismantling.
Assembly
Place the cover over the front axle and
push both parts in simultaneously against
the cutting cover.
Turn the front axle anti-clockwise so that
it can pass over the raised area on the
cutting cover.
Make sure the axle support plates are on
the outside of the cutting cover and screw
it down (B).
Screw down the cover (A) and assemble
the different parts.
Do not forget the spacer washer inside the
wheel.
Tips!
Assembly is made easier if the cutting
height setting is in the highest position.
Replace any ball bearings in the wheel. Replace any ball bearings in the wheel.
Use a suitable mandrel or hammer and
tap them out of the bearing seating.
Push the new bearings in so they are level
with the edge of the bearing seating.
Rear axle without drive
Dismantling
Dismantle the cover/covers over the rear
axle.
Dismantle the rear wheel.
Disconnect the connecting rod for height
control on the front wheel.
Dismantle the wheel link on the left-hand
side.
Rear axle without drive
Dismantling
Dismantle the cover/covers over the rear
axle.
Dismantle both rear wheels in the same
way as described above.
Disconnect the connecting rod for height
control on the front wheel.
Tips!
Mark on the wheel chain and front axle
how both these parts fi t together. This will
facilitate subsequent assembly.
Loosen the nut on both sides before
continuing.
Remove the nut (A) holding the wheel
link (B) on the front axle on the left-hand
side.
