9.1.1.4 To remove and install the front cover of the
steering column
1. Remove the 2 screws and tilt the front cover of the
steering column forward.
2. Disconnect the wires.
3. Hold the front cover of the steering column in a
vertical position and lift it.
4. Install in opposite sequence.
9.1.1.5 To remove and install the lower steering column
cover
1. Remove the frame tunnel cover, the footrest plates
and the front cover of the steering column. Refer to
To remove the covers on page 21
.
2. Remove the 2 screws and remove the lower steering
column cover.
3. Install in opposite sequence.
9.1.1.6 To remove the left footrest plate
• Remove the 4 screws and remove the footrest plate.
