How to fix uneven cutting height on my HUSTLER Lawn Mower?

  If your HUSTLER Lawn Mower is leaving an uneven cut, several factors could be responsible. Start by sharpening the blades or replacing them if bent. Ensure the deck is level according to the manual's Mower Deck Leveling section. Adjust the anti-scalp wheel height and make sure the underside of the deck is clean. Correct the tire pressure to between 8 and 10 psi. For a bent blade spindle, contact your Hustler Dealer.

Check and tighten any loose engine mounting bolts, engine pulley, idler pulley, or blade pulley. Ensure the deck clutch switch is disengaged and the fuel valve is open. Refuel if the tank is empty, or replace a plugged fuel line. If there's incorrect fuel, drain the tank and refill with the correct type. Replace a dirty fuel filter, and move the choke lever to the On position. Tighten a loose blade mounting bolt, or replace bent or unbalanced cutting blades.
