Overview

This document is the Owner's Manual for iBeeCool Commercial Freezers, providing essential information for installation, operation, troubleshooting, safety, maintenance, and warranty.

Function Description:

The iBeeCool Commercial Freezer is a refrigeration unit designed for commercial use, intended to store products at freezing temperatures. It features a robust stainless steel exterior with two large doors and is equipped with a digital temperature control display. The unit is pre-programmed with automatic settings for efficient operation, including a defrost cycle that melts accumulated frost from the evaporator. It is crucial to install and operate the freezer correctly to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Temperature Set Points: The recommended set points for the freezer are -18° to -22° Celsius (0° to -8° Fahrenheit).
  • Refrigerant: The equipment uses R290 refrigerant.
  • Electrical Requirements: The unit requires proper grounding and a dedicated circuit. Any tampering with electrical components will void the warranty.
  • Installation Environment: Must be installed indoors on a level floor with adequate air circulation. The ambient temperature should not exceed 26° Celsius (80° F). High humidity and proximity to heat/moisture-generating equipment can affect efficiency and potentially void the warranty.
  • Airflow: To maintain correct airflow inside the cabinet, shelving requires 2 to 3 inches of space between the back wall. Overfilling the refrigerator can make the cabinet too warm.
  • Applicable Models: The manual covers a range of models including iBC-DPC47, iBC-DPC68, iBC-RF1, iBC-RF2, iBC-RF3, iBC-UF27, iBC-UF48, iBC-UF60, iBC-WTF27, iBC-WTF48, and iBC-WTF60.

Usage Features:

  • Installation: Upon receiving the unit, ensure it has been transported in an upright position. If not, let it stand for one hour before energizing. Proper installation in a cool, dry environment with adequate air circulation is critical.
  • Temperature Control:
    • Plug in the machine.
    • Press the "SET" button for 2 seconds until the "CURRENT SETPOINT VALUE" flashes on the display.
    • Use the "UP" or "DOWN" buttons to adjust the "SETPOINT VALUE."
    • Press the "SET" button again to save the new temperature.
    • Be mindful when setting the temperature; choosing a temperature that is too low can cause the coil to freeze and warm the cabinet, potentially damaging the unit.
  • Manual Defrost: Manual defrost can be initiated by pressing both the "SNOWFLAKE" button and the "DOWN" button simultaneously for approximately 3 seconds.
  • Mobility: The unit is equipped with casters for easy movement. When moving, do so carefully and ensure the casters do not run over the power cord. Lock the casters when the unit is in use.
  • Safety:
    • Always seek help when moving the heavy machine to avoid tipping or dropping.
    • Prevent children from playing in or on the cabinet.
    • Follow all safety labels and directions on the unit.
    • Be aware of pinch points near the door hinges.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning:
    • For cleaning the cabinet or shelves, use warm water with a mild soap.
    • The evaporator and condenser coils require annual maintenance cleaning by a refrigeration technician.
  • Troubleshooting (Common Issues and Solutions):
    • Compressor not running: Check the circuit breaker, power cord connection, thermostat setting (it might be too high), or if the machine is in a defrost cycle.
    • Condensing unit running too long: Check for excessive warm product inside, if the door has been left open, if the door gasket is sealing properly, or if the condenser or evaporator coil is dirty or iced up.
    • Cabinet temperature too warm: Check if the thermostat is set too high, if airflow is blocked, or if an excessive amount of warm product has been placed inside.
  • Maintenance Safety:
    • ALWAYS use a certified technician for R290 equipment repairs.
    • ALWAYS use iBeeCool parts; aftermarket parts can be dangerous.
    • NEVER clean a frozen evaporator or dirty condenser with a sharp object.
    • NEVER store flammable materials like gasoline or kerosene near the cabinet.
  • Owner's Responsibilities:
    • The owner is responsible for all services or repairs not covered by the warranty.
    • Checking/replacing breakers and operating the equipment according to manufacturer's instructions.
    • Performing routine maintenance, including cleaning the condenser, evaporator coil, and drain tube. An annual preventive maintenance service is strongly recommended.
    • Providing the service provider with free access to the equipment and its controls.
    • Moving any materials, fixtures, or partitions that may interfere with service work.
  • Warranty:
    • Limited Warranty: 2 years on parts and labor, 5 years on parts only for the compressor, starting from the date of purchase.
    • Voided Warranty: The warranty will be voided if the equipment is moved from the original invoice location, if electrical components are tampered with, or if any terms and conditions are not observed. Refrigeration used in mobile applications (e.g., food trucks) is not eligible for warranty coverage.
    • Obtaining Service: Register purchases at www.ibeecool.com to activate the warranty. For repairs, email warranty@ibeecool.ca with your model and serial number, or call 1-833-388-5998 during Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm Atlantic time.
