Preparing Your Diskette Drives
1. Make sure all the On/Off (1/0) switches for
your work station units are turned off.
2. Unplug all the work station units from the
electrical outlets.
3. Insert the shipping cardboards that came with
your system unit into the diskette drives.
The cardboard is used to protect the drive
magnetic heads during shipping. You should
have stored these cardboard protectors in the
back of this manual.
Note: If you do not have shipping cardboard,
DO NOT ship the system with the load
levers down;
this can cause diskette
drive
head damage.
4. If you have the shipping cardboard in place,
push the load levers down and put a strip of
masking tape (or equivalent tape) over the
lever to hold it in place.
