-Remove the cartridge from the tape drive.
-Determine
if the problem is electrical or
mechanical
by manually pressing the cartridge in
place switch. The cartridge in place switch can
be seen by looking into the
front of the tape
drive,
it is the rightmost switch (refer to 202).
-While manually pressing the cartridge in place
switch:
-Retry the test (press R on the keyboard).
Pressing R causes this section
of the tape read
diagnotic program
to run again.
