PeerMaster Adapter Screen Messages
Novell NetWare Load-Time Error Messages
Load-time errors might occur under two conditions. If POST
completes successfully, the device driver attempts to initialize and
download the PeerMaster adapter software If POST completes
unsuccessfully, the device driver will not attempt to to load the
adapter software. This section describes the error messages that
might appear during load time.
050: The adapter cannot be found
Description: The device driver assumes that your PeerMaster adapter has
not been installed. Verify that your PeerMaster adapter is properly
installed. If so, then treat this error in the same manner as “The adapter
has failed.”
058: The adapter does not respond
Description: The device driver is not able to communicate with the
PeerMaster adapter. If this occurs when the device driver is being loaded,
it is an irrecoverable error that causes the device driver to terminate the
load process. It might help to restart the server or run your system
configuration program to check for possible system conflicts. If restarting
your server does not clear the problem, and system conflicts do not exist,
call for service.
070: The adapter has failed
Description: The device driver is not able to communicate with the
PeerMaster adapter. If this occurs when the device driver is being loaded,
it is an irrecoverable error that causes the device driver to terminate the
load process. It might help to restart the server or run your system
configuration program to check for possible system conflicts. If restarting
your server does not clear the problem, and system conflicts do not exist,
call for service.
073: Unable to allocate memory
Description: The device driver was unable to allocate sufficient memory to
perform its functions. Unload the device driver and unnecessary NLMs
and try again. If this does not help, exit and restart the server and try
again. If the problem persists, you must install additional memory into
your server.
