Installing PeerMaster LAN Software
FRAME This keyword is used to load a frame type for the
device driver instance being loaded. For more
information on this parameter, refer to the
documentation that comes with your version of Novell
NetWare. The following example illustrates the use of
the FRAME keyword.
FRAME=ETHERNET_82.2
NODE This keyword is used to override the factory-provided
MAC address present on your PeerMaster adapter.
When specified for MXPCI4BT.LAN, this keyword
overrides the factory-provided address. When
specified for VNET.LAN, this keyword overrides both
factory-provided and MXPCI4BT.LAN-specified node
addresses. The specified address must not be a group
address. The following example illustrates the use of
the NODE keyword.
NODE=123456
AGE This keyword is used to adjust the length of the aging
timeout used by the device driver and microcode to
purge unused entries from the address learning table
used by the packet switching function. For more
information on this keyword, see “Adjusting the Aging
Timer” on page 58.
TXCOUNT This keyword is used to specify the amount of
resources allocated for transmission to the PeerMaster
adapter. For more information on this keyword, see
“Adjusting Transmit and Receive Resources” on
page 59.
