Value for EEEE Value for AAAAAAAA Recommended Service Action:
2121 ********
Less data was transferred than was
requested during a transfer request.
The load source IOP or storage IOA
reported that the data available for
transfer was less than requested, or
the data transferred was less than
requested. This error most likely
occurred when a command failed to
complete that was issued to the load
source unit address in DDDDDDDD
(word 8). If DDDDDDDD (word 8) is
0, the error is most likely an interface
problem between the IOP at the
address in IIIIIIII (word 7), a storage
IOA on the same bus, or the load
source device. If the second half of
word 3 is 2805, 2808, or is 20xx
where xx is greater than 14, the
storage IOA at the address in IIIIIIII
(word 7) was attempting a DMA to
mainstore when the failure occurred.
Check the FRUs in the path to
mainstore. Use symbolic FRU “BUS1”
on page 289 to fix the problem, going
directly to the correct step for the
system model you are working on.
2124 ********
The bus unit at the address in IIIIIIII
(word 7) had a fatal error. No error
log data was retrieved from the unit.
This error most likely occurred when
a command failed to complete that
was issued to the load source unit
address in DDDDDDDD (word 8). If
DDDDDDDD (word 8) is 0, the error
is most likely an interface problem
between IOP at the address in IIIIIIII
(word 7) and a storage IOA on the
same bus. If the second half of word
3 is 2805, 2808, or is 20xx where xx
is greater than 14, the storage IOA at
the address in IIIIIIII (word 7) was
attempting a DMA to mainstore when
the failure occurred. Check the FRUs
in the path to mainstore. Additional
useful information may also be
available in the SRC. If AAAAAAAA
(word 6) is no DDD00033 or
DDD00034, it contains the CCIN and
URC of the IOA reporting the error.
