attached - reconnect the lower frame power supply ac jumper cables at the AC input/battery
charger, or at the AC modules.
Does a power reference code occur?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: Go to step 13 (See page 163).

Perform the following:
a. Power off the frame or system that you are working on. Frames with an FC 5078 or FC 0578
attached - trace and remove the lower frame power supply ac jumper cables at the AC
input/battery charger, or at the AC modules.
b. Disconnect one of the cards that you connected in step 10 (See page 162).
c. Power on the frame or system that you are working on. Frames with an FC 5078 or FC 0578
attached - reconnect the lower frame power supply ac jumper cables at the AC input/battery
charger, or at the AC modules.
Does a power reference code occur?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: Exchange the last card that you disconnected in this step. See the Remove and replace
procedures for the model you are working on.
This
ends the procedure.
12. Have you disconnected all the cards?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: Repeat step 11 (See page 163).
13.
Perform the following:
a. Power off the frame or system that you are working on. Frames with an FC 5078 or FC 0578
attached - trace and remove the lower frame power supply ac jumper cables at the AC
input/battery charger, or at the AC modules.
b. Reconnect all of the I/O devices (tape, diskette, or disk units) that you disconnected in step 2
(See page 160).
c. Power on the frame or system that you are working on. Frames with an FC 5078 or FC 0578
attached - reconnect the lower frame power supply ac jumper cables at the AC input/battery
charger, or at the AC modules.
Does
a power reference code occur?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: This ends the procedure.
14. Perform the following:
a. Power off the frame or system that you are working on. Frames with an FC 5078 or FC 0578
attached - trace and remove the lower frame power supply ac jumper cables at the ac
input/battery charger, or at the AC modules.
b. Disconnect all of the I/O devices (tape, diskette, or disk units) that you connected in step 13 (See
page 163).
c. Reconnect one of the I/O devices (tape, diskette, or disk units) that you disconnected in step 14b
(See page 163).
d. Power on the frame or system that you are working on. Frames with an FC 5078 or FC 0578
attached - reconnect the lower frame power supply ac jumper cables at the ac input/battery
charger, or at the AC modules.
Does
a power reference code occur?
v No: Continue with the next step.
