The system processor has detected an error on the HSL port. The error was found during an IPL, and is
preventing the system from finishing the IPL. The error is on the load source or flash source HSL Bus.
1. Use the information in the Location of failure column in Table 1. below, and the information from
Locations and Addresses to determine the physical mapping of the information from the Location
column.
2. Check the cabling and connections from the failing port. Follow the procedure in Symbolic FRU
“BUSCBL1, BUSCBL2, BUSCBL3, or BUSCBLx” on page 292.
3. If checking cables and connections does not correct the problem, replace the HSL connection in the
given location.
4. Choose from the following options:
v For Models 800 and 810: See Locations - Models 800 and 810. All errors are on the A0-A1 HSL
port. If checking the cables does not correct the problem, the field replaceable unit (FRU) to replace
is the System unit backplane, CCIN 25F0, 25B9, 25BA, or 282F.
v For Model 825: See Locations - Model 825.
– For SRCs of the form B428 xB0x, the failing item is the HSL Card in position C09.
– For SRCs of the form B428 xB1x, the failing item is the HSL Card in position C08.
– For SRCs of the form B428 xB2x, the failing item is the HSL Card in position MB1.
