1. Disconnect the diskette-drive power cable from the
diskette drive and the power board.
2. Check the continuity of the diskette-drive power
cable.

The Pins Labeled 1 Should
Have Continuity Between
Themselves, as Should the
Pins Labeled 2, and so on.
The diskette-drive power cable is bad. Replace
it.
Repeat advanced POST and the advanced
tests to ensure that the IBM PCjr is operating
correctly.
