Beginner's

Code. A
programming
language
that
uses
common
English
words.
baud.
A
unit
of
signaling
speed
.
binary
digit.
In
binary
notation,
either
of
the
characters
0
or
1.
bi
t.
Synonym
for
binary
digit.
bps.
Abbreviation
for
bits
per
second.
byte.
The
representation
of
a
character
.
condensed.
Condensed
print
mode is
also
called
compressed
print
mode.
control
code.
A
control
character
used
for
print
operations
such
as
line
spacing
or
carriage
return.
continuous
forms.
A
series
of
connected
paper
forms
that
feed
cont
i
nuously
through
a
printing
device.
The
connection
between
the
forms
is
perforated
to
allow
the
user
to
tear
them
apart.
Before
printing,
the
forms
are
folded
in
a
stacked
arrangement,
with
the
folds
along
the
perforated
lines
.
Continuous
forms
have

procket
holes
punched
in
the
l
ef
t
and
right
margins.
Contrast

cut
forms.

Characters
per
second.
Used
to
measure
the
printing
speed
of
a
printer.

For
