Interface
The
interface
is
the
connecting
point
for
your
printer
to
your
terminal
or
computer.
The
Proprinter
can
have
two
types
of
interfaces.
The
parallel
interface
is
standard.
The
serial
interface
is
optional.
Parallel
Interface:
Many
computers
have
the
parallel
interface
.
To
ensure
your
computer
has
a
parallel
printer

interface,
contact
an
IBM
Authorized
Dealer,
an
IBM
Product
Center,
or
the
IBM
Branch
Office
serving
your
locality
.
Serial
Interface:
If
your
computer
or
terminal
has
the
serial
interface,
contact
an
IBM
Authorized
Dealer,
an
IBM
Product
Center,
or
your
IBM
marketing
representative.
Printer
Cable
You
need a
printer
cable to connect your
printer
to your com-
puter
or
terminal.
The
printer
cable
does
not
come
with
your
printer. Use
compatible
cables, or:
Parallel
Interface
Cable:
Use

Serial
Interface
Cable:
Use

Jumper
Cable:
Use
IBM

You
cannot
use
both
cables
at
the
same
time.
