What
the
Keys
Do
The
Online
key
turns
the
Ready
light
on
and
off.
When
the
Ready
light
is
on,
the
computer
controls
your
printer,
and
the
printer
is
ready
to
receive
print
data.
Press
the
Online
key
once
to
place
the
printer
offline
(Ready
light
is
off).
Press
the
Online
key
once
again
to
place
the
printer
online
(Ready
light
is
on).

When
the
Paper
Out
light
is
on,
you
have
to
put
paper
in
the
printer
.
After
you
put
paper
in
the
printer,
press
the
Online
key
once.
This
turns
on
the
Ready
light,
sets
the
top
of
form,
and
turns
the
Paper
Out
light
off.
To
move
the
paper
to
the
next
top
of
form,
press
the
Form
Feed
key.
The
Ready
light
must
be
off
for
the
Form
Feed
key
to
operate.
Use
the
Form
Feed
key
to
feed a
new
cut
sheet
when
the
Paper
Out
light
is
on.
To
move
the
paper
to
the
next
line
on
the
form,
press
the
Line
Feed
key
.
When
you
hold
down
the
Line
Feed
key
,
the
paper
continues
to
move
until
you
stop
pressing
the
key
.
The
Ready
light
must
be
off
for
the
Line
Feed
key
to
operate.

key
also
starts
the
printer
self-test.

Note!
The
printer
has
factory-set
lengths
for
form feed
and
line
feed.
The
factory
setting
for
the
Form
Feed
key
is
279.4 mm
(11
in.)
for
the
U.S.
and
Canada
and
304.8 mm (12
in.)
for
all
other
countries.
The
factory
setting
for
the
Line
Feed
key
is
6
lines
per
inch.
This
means
unless
the
printer
is
under
program
control
the
factory-set
lengths
will
be
the
default
values
.
You
can
change
the
lengths
with
printer
control
codes
or
a
switch
described
later
in
this
guide.
