7. Spacebar Int~rlock Mechanism (Old Style) - Perform the
following adjustments:
a. Lockout Cam - Ad just the escapement cam left or
right on the filter shaft so that when the lockout
cam is on the high point of the escapement cam the
lockout cam wi II have. 050" to .060" latera I moti on
remaining toward the left (Fig. 120).
Be sure to maintain the proper radial position of
the escapement cam. It should be adjusted so that
the escapement cam follower is resting on, and at
the begrnning of, the low dwell of the cam when
the fi Iter shaft is in its rest position.
b. Lockout Cam Guide - Adjust the guide up or down
so that the spacebar interposer wi II be allowed to
movetotherear .015" to .025" when the interposer
is unlatched (Fig. 121). The filter shaft must be
rotated unt i I the lockout cam moves fu" y to the
right to check this adjustment.

CAUTION: Make certain that the spacebar inter-
poser, when released and interlocked, clears the
cl utch release arm by .005" to .025".
c. Spacebar Interposer Guide - Ad just the interposer
guide left or right to obtain .015" to .025

position and the spacebar interposer released to the
rear when making this adjustment.
