1. MAIN CHASSIS
(1) PURITY adjustment
The purity is adjusted lo optimum at shipment.
Normally, no adjustments are required.
However perform adjustmenlS if necessary.

(j) Seled lhe flat field using thef!ji,§j switch.
@ Demagnetize the shadow mask using the!DEGAUs.<j switch.
® Set the screen to lhe green-only raster using lhe SCREENS switch.
@-Adjust the two purity magnets a1temately, so that lbere are green ver-
tical line at the center of the screen.
@ While watching the screen, s]ide lhe deflection yoke forward so
that the screen is an even green color.
® Repeat forred-0nly and blue-only.
({) Adjust lhe purity to optimum using ROTATION.

MANUAL
(2) CONVERGENCE adjustment
Prior lo adjusting convergence, perform warming up for more than
30 minutes. Se1ed the cross hatch using the TEST switch.
(j) Loosen lhe lock ring.
@ Set to the red and blue screens using lhe ~CREEN~ switch.
@ Obseive the cros.5ed part al the center of I.he screen.
Adjust I.he ang]e oflhe two 4-polar magnets as shown in the figure
below to adjust deviation of the red and blue vertica1 lines.
@ While keeping I.he ang]e at ®, rolale I.he two magnets together and
adjust lhe deviation of the horizonta1 lines.

@ Set all~CREEN$switches to OFF to set lhe white screen.
® Adjusl lhe angle of the two 6-polar magnets to adjust the deviation
oflhe red and b1ue vertical lines, and green vertical lines.
(V While keeping lhe angle al ®• rota le the two magnets together and
adjusl the deviation of the horizontal lines.
@ Tighlen the lock ring after completing of the center convergence.
