OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE OPERATING THE UNIT
Only use OUTSIDE and far away from windows,
doors, and vents.
NEVER use inside a home or garage, even if
doors and windows are open.
Always position the generator on a flat firm
surface.
NOTE: If location of generator is not level, the
unit may not start or may shut down during
operation.
STARTING THE GENERATOR
CAUTION. Always check the oil and
fuel level before starting the engine,
see Page 11 & 12.
Before starting the engine make sure that all the
electrical loads are disconnected from the
generator AC outlet socket.
If you are using the generator for the first time or
it has been stored away for a long time, the
engine switch should be opened for ten or
twenty seconds to allow fuel to enter the
carburetor.
Open the fuel tank cap air vent knob to the ON
position (Fig.6).
Note: When transporting the generator, turn the
fuel tank cap air vent knob to the OFF position.
Turn the engine switch to the START position
(Fig.7)
Hold down the generator firmly with one hand
on the handle. With the other hand grip the
recoil starter cord handle (Fig.8) and pull and
return the rope gently 3-4 times to let the engine
breath in the fuel mixture from the carburetor.
Pull the cord sharply. Continue this procedure
until the engine starts.
CAUTION. Avoid damaging the plastic
case of the crankshaft while pulling the
rope. Aways return the recoil starter
cord handle slowly.
When the engine has been successfully started
and is running smoothly turn the engine switch
to the RUN position (Fig.9).
