Overview

This document is a user manual for the InAlto Classique IVD7 Vented Dryer, a 7kg capacity appliance. It provides comprehensive information on its function, technical specifications, usage, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Function Description:

The InAlto IVD7 is a vented clothes dryer designed for domestic use, specifically for drying clothes, towels, and linen. It operates by circulating heated air through the tumbling drum to remove moisture from wet laundry. The dryer features various drying programs and dryness levels to accommodate different fabric types and desired dryness. A key safety feature is the cool-down cycle at the end of each program, which reduces the temperature of the clothes to prevent damage and dissipate heat. The appliance is not intended for commercial environments or for drying items cleaned with industrial chemicals.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model: IVD7
  • Type: Vented Dryer
  • Rated Capacity: 7.0kg (dry clothing weight)
  • Power Supply: 220-240V~50Hz
  • Rated Power: 2000W
  • Motor Input Power: 200W
  • Heating Power: 1800W
  • Grade of Waterproof: IPX4
  • Installation: Can be freestanding or wall-mounted. For wall mounting, specific accessory kit components are provided, including a horizontal screw position template, expansion screw bolts, hanging brackets, plastic covers, and an inverted control panel decal.
  • Ventilation Requirements: Requires adequate ventilation with a minimum of 80mm between the top of the dryer and the ceiling, and no less than 10cm distance from walls or cabinetry. No obstacles should be within 1.5m of the dryer's front for ease of operation and ventilation.
  • Power Connection: Must be plugged directly into a properly earthed AC power supply with the correct voltage. The use of extension cords, power boards, or similar devices is strongly advised against for safety reasons.

Usage Features:

The dryer's control panel (Figure 4) includes:

  • Power Button: To switch the dryer on/off.
  • Start/Pause Button: To begin or pause the drying program.
  • Drying Program Selector: Offers various programs such as "1 Hour," "Synthetic," "Cotton," and "Mixed Items."
  • Dryness Level Selector: Allows selection of desired dryness levels: "Light," "Standard," and "Extra Dry."
  • Anti-Crease Mode: An optional function that adds a short period of tumbling at the end of the program to reduce creasing.
  • Child Lock Safety Feature: Activated by simultaneously pressing the "Program" and "Dryness" buttons for 3 seconds, preventing accidental operation or setting changes.

Operating Instructions (Quick Start):

  1. Ensure the dryer is switched on at the power outlet and load wet clothes into the drum.
  2. Press the "Power" button.
  3. Select the desired drying program using the "Program" button.
  4. Choose the desired dryness level with the "Dryness" button.
  5. Optionally, press the "Anti-Crease" button.
  6. Press the "Start/Pause" button to begin.
  7. Upon completion of the heating cycle, a buzzer sounds, followed by a cooling cycle. Another buzzer sounds when the cooling cycle is complete.
  8. Remove clothes, turn off the dryer, and unplug the power cord.
  9. Clean the lint filter and inner tumble drum after each use.

Loading Guidelines:

  • Clothes should be washed before drying.
  • Sort clothes by fabric type and similar drying times.
  • Ensure decorations or buttons are safe for high temperatures.
  • Turn clothes inside-out.
  • Load the dryer to ½ to ⅔ capacity for faster and more even drying.
  • For small or expensive loads, add towels that won't lose fibers to aid even drying.
  • Avoid over-drying to prevent creases and static charges.
  • Refer to clothing care labels for suitability for tumble drying.
  • Do not dry items made from or containing rubber, foam, or highly flammable substances (e.g., petrol, industrial chemicals).

Maintenance Features:

  • Lint Filter Cleaning: The lint filter, located inside the door opening (Figure 1), must be cleaned after each and every load. Failure to do so significantly increases drying time, energy consumption, and poses a fire hazard. To clean, lift the filter out, open it, wipe with a damp cloth, and re-insert once dry.
  • Inner Drum Cleaning: Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe the inner drum and cabinet. Avoid excessive water, scouring pads, abrasives, alcohol wipes, or harsh cleaning chemicals, as these can damage the dryer.
  • Periodic Inspection: It is recommended to have a qualified appliance technician inspect and clean the dryer periodically to prevent potential fire hazards.

Safety Instructions:

  • Always follow general safety instructions provided in the manual.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation for the dryer.
  • Never operate the dryer without the lint filter in its correct position.
  • Replace torn or damaged lint filters immediately.
  • Do not overload the dryer.
  • Remove all objects from pockets before drying.
  • Never stop a tumble dryer before the end of the cooling cycle unless items are quickly removed and spread out to dissipate heat.
  • If the electrical cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, authorized service agent, or similarly qualified person.
  • The dryer is for indoor domestic use only.
  • Do not store or use petrol or other inflammable vapors and liquids near the dryer.
  • Avoid using fabric softeners or similar products in the dryer unless specifically recommended by the manufacturer, as they can lead to rapid blockage of the lint filter.

Troubleshooting:

The manual includes a troubleshooting guide for common issues like the dryer not starting or clothes remaining wet. It also lists error codes (E1, E2, E3) related to dryer temperature and sensor errors, providing possible causes and actions to resolve them. For persistent problems or missing parts, contact the local Customer Care team. Service calls resulting from restricted ventilation are not covered by warranty.
