To switch on:
Turn the light switch to <AUTO> and pressthe
combination switch beyond the pressure point
in the direction of arrow

when it is dark and the light sensor switches on
the dipped-beam headlights.
Ifyouare drivingat speedsabove approximately
45 km/hthe headlight rangeisset automati-
callydepending on thedistancebetween theve-
hicleand other road users.
Ifyouare drivingatspeeds aboveapproximately
55 km/h and no other road users aredetected,
thehigh-beam headlights are switched on auto-
matically.The
m
indicatorlight in the combi-
nation meter also lights up.
Ifyou aredriving atspeeds below approximately
45 km/h or other road users aredetected or the
roads are adequately lit The high-beam head-
lights areswitched off automatically.The
m
indicatorlight in the combination meter goes
out. The
m
indicator light in the vehicle in-
formation display remainslit.
To deactivate:
Move the combination switch backtoits normal
positionThe
m
indicatorlight in the vehicle
information display goes out.
HEADLIGHTSMISTED UP ON THE
INSIDE
Certain climatic and physicalconditionsmay
causemoisture to form in the headlight. This
moisture does not affect the functionalityofthe
headlight.
FRONTFOG LIGHTS
In conditions wherevisibility is poor due to fog,
snow or rain,the fog lights improvevisibility as
wellasmakingiteasier for other road users to
see you. They canbeoperated together with the
side lights or together with the side lights and

To switch on the fog lights:

Turn the ignition switch to the ON position or start
the engine.

To switch off the front fog lights:

button Thegreen

indicator light
in the combination meter turnsoff.
Only vehicles with front fog lights are equipped
with the “Foglights” function.
