RAIN SENSOR (where fitted)
CAUTION

dirty in dryweather conditions, the windscreen wip-
ersmay be activated inadvertently.Thiscould dam-
agethe windscreen wiper blades or scratch the wind-
screen.
Forthisreason, youshouldalwaysswitchoffthe wind-
screen wipers in dryweather.
Vehicles with arain sensor: in the
m
or
m
position, the appropriate wiping frequency is
automatically set according to the intensity of
therain. In the
m
position, the rain sensor is
more sensitive than in the
m
position, caus-
ing the windscreen wiper to wipe more
frequently.
If thewiper blades are worn, the windscreen will
no longer be wiped properly.Thiscould prevent
youfrom observing the traffic conditions.
Therain-sensing auto wiper system uses the
ra
in sensor located on the upper par
toft
he
windscreen.

•
The rain-sensing auto wipers areintended for use
during rain. If the switch is left in the
m

when dirt, fingerprints, oil film or insectsare stuck
on or aroundthe sensor. The wipers mayalso op-
erate when exhaust gas or moisture affect the rain
sensor.
•
When thewindshield glass is coated with water
repellent, the speed of the rain-sensing auto wip-
