Boperates when the igni-
tion switch is in the ON position for the rear win-
dow,and (where fitted) for the outside rear view
mirrors.
The defoggeris used to reducethe moisture, fog
or frost on the rear window surfaceand on the
outside mirror surface to improve the rear view.
When the defogger switch
m
is pushed, the
indicator light illuminates and the defogger op-
erates for several minutes. After the preset time
has passed, the defogger will turn off automati-
cally. To turn off the defogger manually,push
the defogge
rs
witch
m
again, and the indica-
tor light turnsoff.
CAUTION
•
When operating the defoggercontinuously,be
sure to startthe engine. Otherwise, it maycause
the batterytodischarge.
•
Whencleaning the inner side of the window,be
careful not to scratch or damagethe electricalcon-
ductorsonthe surface of thewindow.
The windscreen de-icer switch (defoggerswitch)

Aoperates when the ignition switch is in the
ON position.
Youcan use thisfunction to defrost the wind-
screen orto demistthe inside of the wind screen
and the side windows
NOTE
Youshould only select the windscreen de-icer func-
tion until the windscreen is clear again.
When the switch

is pushed, the indicator
light in the switch illuminates. The climate con-
trolsystem switches to the followingfunctions:

High airflow
•
High temperature
•
Air distributiontothe windscreen and front side
windows
•
Airrecirculation mode off
