INTERIOR MOTION SENSOR
(where fitted)
When the interior motion sensor is armed, avi-
sual andaudible alarm is triggered if movement
is detected in thevehicle interior.Thiscan occur
if someone reaches into the vehicle interior,for
example.
Arming
1. Makesure that:
•
The side windows are closed.
•
There are no objects,e.g. mascots, hanging on
therearview mirror or on the grab handles on
the roof trim.
Thiswillprevent false alarms.
2. Makesure that the doors and backdoor are
closed.Onlythen is the interior motion sen-
sor armed.
3. Lock the vehicle with the keyorIntelligent
key.
The interior motion sensor is armed after ap-
proximately 30 seconds.
Switching off
Unlockthevehicle with thekeyorintelligentkey.
or
Insertthe keyinto the ignition lock.
The interior motion sensor is automatically
switched off.
Deactivating
1. Remove the keyfrom the ignition switch and
open the driver’s door.

3. Lock the vehicle with the keyorintelligent

The interior motion sensor is deactivated.

People or animals remain in the vehicle.
•
The side windows remain open.
NOTE
RHD models only: Your vehicle is equipped with a
double-lockfunction. The doors cannot be opened
from the inside if the vehicle has been lockedwith the
key(see “Interior motion sensor (where fitted)” later
in thissection). Deactivate the interior motion sensor
beforeyoulockthe vehiclewith the key. The doorscan
then be opened from the inside after the vehicle has
been lockedfrom the outside with the key.
